Slot Machines going coinless
May 14th, 2009 . by adminMore and more slot machines are becoming coinless. The days of plunking in quarter after quarter are coming to an end. The new machines are called Electronic Gaming Devices (EGD) or a Video Gaming Devices (VGD). These machines simply take paper money or a players casino card to keep track of wins and losses. Soon you won’t be able to hear the familiar sound of machines spitting out coins after a big payout. Now a more efficient but less exciting piece of paper prints with your winnings on it. At least you don’t have to wait for your $1000 in quarters to come out of the old machine.
